Customized massage

If you are not sure what kind of massage is right for you, you can choose a personalized massage (on request). This is a massage where I use up to several techniques during one massage session. The so-called combined massage. Often combined with stretching of the muscles.

The types of techniques which are used then depend on the state of your muscles, condition, work you perform, sports you practice, painful areas, etc.
This type of massage is selected just before the start of the session, or contact me earlier if you have any questions or concerns. This is the most frequently chosen form of massage by clients. There is no additional charge for this type of massage. When choosing one of my massages, you pay for the time of massage session. All type of massage are the same price. Even if it is an individually customized therapy where several techniques are being used.

In a nutshell:
You choose the type and the lenght of massage on your own or you leave it to me and we choose the best solution for you.

Relaxation Massage:

Relaxation massage is an all-natural treatment that involves appropriate stimulation of the body’s tissues. When relaxation massage is applied, it affects the skin, connective and adipose tissue, as well as muscles, nerve endings and the nervous, lymphatic, circulatory and endocrine systems. This allows the stressed and overstrained body, as well as the mind, to begin to recover and return to its normal rhythm

Relaxation massage is an excellent way to release accumulated energy that adversely affects mental health and internal organs and systems in the human body.

This massage allows you to achieve a state of relaxation of the body and mind, and effectively get rid of accumulated stress and fatigue, resulting in a sense of well-being and better mental and physical condition.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is designed to prepare the athlete’s body for increased performance and maintain high endurance. This type of massage schould be applied in cycles and repeated before and after training.

During the massage, the main focus is on massaging muscle groups that are particularly prone to overload. The larger the muscle group is being massaged, the better the effectiveness of the treatment.

Sports massage can successfully replace the training not performed on a given day. This is an excellent alternative for people who, for some reason, cannot do training or give up activity for a long time. Sports massages keep the body in good condition and allow you to return to regular exercise faster.

Pregnancy and postpartum massage

Massage for pregnant women and young mothers is a gentle form of massage aimed at bringing relief, reducing swelling, tension and pain in the shoulders, neck, back and upper and lower extremities.

This massage technique directly influences the outflow lymphatic channels, bringing a state of wonderful relaxation, letting mum and her baby meet each other. Each session is about building harmony in the mother’s body, strengthening and tightening tissue, shaping and smoothing. Massage removes fatigue and nurtures and strengthens the skin during a period which is so special for every woman, the pregnancy.
A special arrangement makes it possible to perform the massage even in advanced pregnancy. Massage is also helpful in getting into good shape after childbirth, naturally shapes the body, gives a feeling of harmony and acceptance of one’s body.

For health reasons, massage is contraindicated in the first trimester of pregnancy and during the postpartum period (6 weeks after delivery).

Anti-stress massage

Anti-stress massage provides relaxation and aims to relieve excess tension and stress accumulated in our muscles.

In this massage we focus on the head, eyes, temples, jaw, back and neck.
The massage begins with a back massage while lying on the stomach, and then after turning onto the back the face, head and neck are massaged.

Particularly recommended for people with chronic headaches, migraines, as well as for people with symptoms of nighttime teeth grinding.

Cupping massage

The history of cupping therapy goes back as far as 5,000 years. Cupping therapy is an incredibly ancient and universal treatment method that was and is used in both the East and the West. A cupping massage is a form of massage therapy that uses specialized cups to create suction on the skin. This suction helps improve blood flow, reduce inflammation and pain, and loosen tense muscles. It can also help flush out toxins, promote relaxation and reduce stress.

Chinese cupping massage should last no longer than 30 minutes (15-30). It should be performed in series every 2-3 days. For the therapy to have an effect, 10-20 treatments are recommended. As a preventive measure, the treatment can be applied once a week.

Lymphatic massage

Most of us have experienced swelling of the body more than once, especially the legs. Working all day standing or sitting, or the processes that occur after an intensive workout further increase these discomforts. We feel sluggish, tired and often irritable. All these seemingly different problems have a common cause – a disorder of the venous-lymphatic system.

Lymphatic drainage is a very versatile treatment, which improves lymph circulation, removes toxins and improves immunity by applying the right pressure. Therefore, it will help not only with swelling and tired legs, but also accelerate recovery after exercise, improve the appearance of the skin, help remove water excess from the body, as well as increase immunity, improve mood and help get rid of cellulite.

In summary – lymphatic massage:

  •  eliminates lymphedema
  •  accelerates the regeneration of the body
  • improves well-being
  • relieves fatigue
  • reduces heavy legs syndrome
  • allows to increase fitness and achieve better sports results
  • prevents edema and deep vein thrombosis
  • supports treatment of circulatory and lymphatic system insufficiency
  • relaxes (compression massage is pleasant)
  • improves appearance – nourishes the skin, reduces cellulite, firms and slims the body
  • reduces fat swelling (e.g., with lipdemia)

Trigger point therapy (trigger points)

Trigger point therapy is a technique that uses various forms of pressure and movements in different directions applied on sensitive areas of muscle tissue. The goal of the therapy is to relax muscles and relieve pain. Trigger points are sensitive areas in muscles with increased tension that are painful under pressure and cause radiating pain and other symptoms in areas of the body distant from the site of irritation. There are various factors that can promote the formation of trigger points.

Among them are:

  • injuries or diseases of the musculoskeletal system
  • stress
  • insomnia
  • general overloading of the body
  • allergies or infections
  • vitamin deficiencies

The main symptoms are: stiffness, increased tension and muscle pain localized depending on where the trigger points are located on the body – on the back, buttock, calf, thighs.

Massage Therapy for Wheelchair Users

For those in a wheelchair due to their mobility limitations, massage therapy can be greatly beneficial for your health; both mental and physical. Given the amount of time spent sitting in your wheelchair, it is expected that the muscles become tight and even weakened due to lack of use. If you are in a manual wheelchair, some muscles can end up being overworked, also leading to sore and tight muscles. Sore, tight, and weak muscles and the stress created by trying to live independently in an able-bodied world, can be treated with routine massage therapy by a licensed massage therapist. Wheelchair users, while mobile, still live a sedentary life and this leads to decreased circulation and even pressure sores. Using massage we stimulate blood flow by applying pressure to certain areas of tissue and muscle groups. The increased blood flow can even alleviate pressure sores. Some medical doctors and physical therapists may advise the use of massage therapy as a form of treatment or method for improving the range of motion.

Therapeutic massage can help with headaches and migraines.

Which parts of the body can be treated? If there are no contraindications than the whole body can be massaged.

Before the massage begins, I will discuss the details with you. This includes your medical history, your present symptoms, what kind of massage I will use, pressure intensity, talking or silence, and even music or white noise options. Don’t be afraid to ask to focus on certain areas that need more attention or avoid other areas.
